Viral Pan Dumplings
Crispy viral pan dumplings made with ground chicken, garlic, ginger, and green onion. These easy dumplings cook directly in the pan with a wonton wrapper pressed on top, creating a golden crispy bottom and juicy filling.

- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup grated carrot this was about 1/2 large carrot for me
- 4 green onions sliced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 20 ish wonton or dumpling wrappers
- 1-2 tsp olive oil for cooking
- 1/4 cup water
for topping
- chili oil
- sesame seeds
- extra sliced green onion
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, shredded carrot, green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, onion powder, salt, and pepper until fully combined.
Heat 1β2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Scoop spoonfuls of the chicken mixture and place them directly into the pan, leaving space between each.
Place a wonton wrapper over each mound of filling and gently press down so the mixture spreads slightly underneath.
Drizzle olive oil over the wrappers and cook for 3β4 minutes until the bottoms become crispy.
Add ΒΌ cup water to the pan and immediately cover with a lid. Steam for 4β5 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
Remove the lid and allow any remaining water to evaporate.
Top with chili oil, sesame seeds, and green onion before serving. Enjoy!

A stainless steel pan works great for achieving the crispiest dumpling bottoms.
